General Rules and Guidelines

A team will consist of 4 people

The fastest time wins.

Using 4 ropes, the team will pull a tractor a distance of about 100 feet.

Divisions can vary, but the State Championship will use the 3 established divisions.

Each individual rope is about 24 feet in length. The rope will be taped at a distance of 20 feet. Any individual placing their hand or any part of their body on the rope within the 20 feet is disqualified.

Ropes can not be tied in a knot.

It is suggested that the same tractor operator be used during the entire contest.

It is recommended that a flag man be used to start and stop time.

Two timers are also recommended.

Encourage contestants to wear protective gear, foot wear, and gloves.

The Flag man will serve as a judge. Judge’s decision is final.

Tractor Operator will serve as the safety official for the contest and can stop the contest at any time.

Tractor size can vary, but we have found that a Farmall “H” or John Deere “B” is about the right size for the contest.

Pull on level ground or slightly uphill.

The Wilber-Clatonia FFA Alumni shall not be responsible for any and all accidents.
