Junior High Girls Basketball Team Competes in Fairbury Tourney

Last Saturday, the Wilber-Clatonia Junior Girls basketball teams competed in the Fairbury Tournament. The 7th grade team finished 4th dropping games to Tri-County 22-19 and Southern 29-27. The 8th grade team finished 3rd dropping a game to Tri-County 29-21 in the first round and beating Southern 34-12 in the consolation game.
In the 7th grade game against Tri-County scoring was led by Atley Cerveny with 15, Christina Uden chipped in with 4. In the consolation game against Southern scoring was led by Atley Cerveny with 22, Kasie Bruss with 2, Christina Uden with 2, and Savanna Kiesel with 1.
In the 8th grade game against Tri-County scoring was lead by Alexa Cerveny with 7 points, Chrissy Homolka with 6, Bridget Murkle 4, and Camry Fikar 4. In the consolation game against Southern scoring was led by Camry Fikar with 11 points, Bridget Murkle with 11, and Alexa Cerveny with 11. Chrissy Homolka added 1. The Wolverines will finish the school season with Centennial on Monday night.
