Lady Wolverines Finish 9th
Behind Rezny's Strong Day

Saturday the Lady Wolverine Tennis Team traveled to Ralston for the Ram Invite. The Wolverines finished in 9th place behind Kessa Rezny's strong finish as consolation champion. The ladies battled a strong breeze all day on their way to the ninth place finish.
At number one singles, Katelyn Koll opened with a win over Omaha Gross but was knocked out of the tournament by Grand Island Central Catholic. Wilber's number one doubles team of Stephannie Morrissey and Alyssa Randolph fell in the first round to eventual champion Beatrice and then lost in a three set match to Omaha Brownell-Talbot. The Wolverines number two singles player Kessa Rezny posted the day's best results finishing as the consolation champion. Rezny fell in the first round to Lincoln Pius X and followed that with wins over Nebraska City, Ralston and Abraham Lincoln. The Wolverine's number two doubles team of Sydnee Kiesel and Kerri Murphey lost in the first round in a hotly contested three set match to Brownell-Talbot and then defeated Nebraska City before losing in another close match to Waverly.
The Lady Wolverines will be back in action in Crete on the 8th at 4:00pm for a dual with the Cardinals.
