We had a very good meet
on a nice weather day.
We had several girls have seasons best, and also some all-time personal bests.
The team broke our school record for points in a meet with 135. The previous record was 130 set in 2000 at the district meet.
The girls had good focus all day, we knew that Lincoln Lutheran would challenge us and there were several class B schools there so it was a good win.
Kayla Asher had a really good day, she set her personal bests in the Long Jump and the 200, and had her biggest scoring day ever.
Cami ran her best times of season in the 100 and 200.
Steph Albert won the 3200 and ran her best time in the 1600 as well.
Anna Beck ran a good mile and got under 6 minutes for the first time ever.
Our discus girls Taylor Riechers, Kyra Jiskra, and Kelsie Musil all threw well; Kelsie set her personal best.
Shelby Pflanz had her season’s best in the 300’s and the relays all had their best times of the year so over-all it was a productive day.
It is fun to go out and have the ability to compete and win a 10 team meet. We should have confidence going into our conference meet Saturday at Milford.
