Americanism Essay Contest Winners Announced

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 101 of Wilber was the local sponsor for an Americanism Essay contest that is being held at the local, state, and national levels. The essays were to focus on patriotism, honoring the service of our veterans, and remembering current members of the military.
Students in Mr. Penner’s Social Studies classes submitted essays for the contest.
7th Grade Winners:
1st Place: Lisa Nelson
2nd Place: Montana Laschanzky

9th Grade Winners:
First Place: Hannah Horak
2nd Place: Shane Bloom
Honorable Mentions: Caytlin Haselbush, and Travis Shore
11th Grade Winners:
1st Place: Rachel Petracek
2nd Place: Amanda Baldwin
Honorable Mentions: Kessa Rezny, and Sabrina Plouzek
